Terms of Use — European Impact Map

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

The European Impact Map ("the Map") is operated by Public Value Hub gGmbH, Markgrafenstraße 2, 04109 Leipzig, Germany (registered at Amtsgericht Leipzig, HRB 40944).

These terms govern your use of the Map, including submitting an organisation for listing. By submitting a listing you confirm that you accept these terms and have read our Privacy Notice.

2. What the Map is

The Map is a public directory of impact-focused ventures in Europe. Listings are submitted by the organisations themselves and reviewed by us before publication.

The Map is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service.

3. Eligibility for listing

Listing is open to organisations that meet the eligibility criteria published on our eligibility page, which currently require, among other things:

• An impact mission carried primarily by a market-oriented business model, meaning earned revenue rather than donations or membership fees
• Registration in one of the 47 countries within scope, being the member states of the Council of Europe plus Kosovo
• A verifiable entry in a public register

Both for-profit and non-profit legal forms are eligible provided the business model is market-based. Donation- and membership-funded structures are outside the current scope.

The eligibility criteria are set out in full on the eligibility page, which forms part of these terms. We may amend the criteria; changes apply to submissions made after publication of the change.

4. Submitting a listing

When you submit a listing, you confirm that:

• You are authorised by the organisation to submit it and to accept these terms on its behalf
• The information you provide is accurate, complete and not misleading
• The registry number you provide belongs to the organisation named
• You have the right to provide any content you submit, and its publication does not infringe anyone else's rights
• Your submission is written in English, as required by the submission form

You are responsible for keeping your listing accurate. To update or remove a listing, email contact@europeanimpactmap.com.

5. Review, approval and rejection

Every submission is reviewed by a person before publication. We verify the registry number against public registers and assess the submission against the eligibility criteria.

We may, at our discretion:

• Approve a listing and publish it
• Request revisions before publication
• Reject a submission that does not meet the eligibility criteria or these terms
• Remove or amend a published listing at any time, including where information proves inaccurate, the organisation ceases to meet the criteria, or the listing breaches these terms

We are not obliged to publish any submission, and we do not undertake to give reasons beyond those provided in our standard notifications.

6. Accuracy of listings

Listing information is provided by the organisations themselves. While we verify registry details and review submissions against our criteria, we do not independently audit the claims organisations make about their activities, impact or business model.

We give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or currency of listing information, and accept no liability for decisions taken in reliance on it. The Map is an information resource. It is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or investment advice.

7. Rights in submitted content

You retain ownership of the content you submit.

By submitting a listing you grant Public Value Hub gGmbH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and transferable licence to store, reproduce, publish and display that content on the Map and in related communications about the Map, for as long as the listing is published.

Where you have separately consented to your listing being shared with partner networks or published on other platforms, that consent governs those additional uses.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information
• Submit a listing for an organisation you are not authorised to represent
• Use the Map to harvest data about listed organisations or their representatives
• Interfere with the operation, security or integrity of the site
• Use automated means to access or copy the Map beyond ordinary browsing

9. Our content

The Map's design, text, structure and compiled directory are protected by copyright and other rights. You may link to the Map and refer to it, but may not reproduce substantial parts of the directory without our written permission.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal icons are used in accordance with United Nations guidelines. Their use does not imply UN endorsement of the Map or of any listed organisation.

10. Liability

The Map is provided free of charge as an information resource, and our liability is limited accordingly.

Where we breach a material obligation under these terms through slight negligence, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of an agreement of this kind. For slight negligence that does not involve a material obligation, our liability is excluded.

These limits do not apply, and we remain fully liable, where damage is caused intentionally or by gross negligence, where it affects a person's life, body or health, or where liability arises under the German Product Liability Act. Nothing in these terms affects your rights in those situations.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. The current version is always available at this address. Where changes materially affect published listings, we will notify the contact person for those listings where we hold their details.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
